# Family accounts in the Athlete Portal

> Parents can now add and manage family members themselves from a Family tab in the athlete portal settings

<Info>
  **Where to find this**: Athlete Portal → **Settings** → **Family**
</Info>

Parents no longer need you to set up each child's booking access by hand. From their own account, they can add a family member and switch between managing each athlete right from the portal.

## What parents can do

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings">
    From the athlete portal, the parent selects **Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to Family">
    They select **Family**, where they'll see the athlete they're currently managing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a family member">
    Selecting **Add Athlete** lets them add another child to the account. They can also select an existing athlete listed there to switch to managing them.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  **Current scope**: This links family members for sign-in and account switching. It doesn't change how credits, subscriptions, or billing work — those still follow the single-account model described in [Booking for Multiple Athletes](/scheduling/booking-for-multiple-athletes).
