In this guide, you'll learn how to create new pages, add subpages, and leverage templates to build your website quickly and effectively. Follow the instructions below to set up your website pages seamlessly.
Access Your Pages: Click the drop-down menu at the very top of your website builder to view all current pages.
Example Setup: By default, you might see pages like "Home" and "About." Clicking on any page (e.g., "About") allows you to edit titles and individual sections effortlessly.
Click "Add New Page": This button allows you to create a new page from scratch.
Name Your Page: For example, to showcase training options, name your page "Training Programs."
Parent Page Setting: Leave the "Parent page" field blank if this is a standalone (or parent) page.
Select a Page Template: Choose a relevant template, such as "Basketball Training Programs," to ensure your page layout aligns with your content.
Note: If no template is selected, the page defaults to a home page structure.
Create and Publish: Click "Create New Page." Once your new page is added, click "Publish" to make it live. Your page should now appear in the drop-down menu, listed alongside "Home" and "About."
Subpages are great for organizing content under a main page. Here's how to set them up:
Click "Add New Page": Begin by creating a subpage.
Name Your Page: Title it "In-Person Training."
Assign a Parent Page: Select "Training Programs" as the parent page.
Choose a Template: Use "In-Person Training" to populate the page with the appropriate sections.
Create and Publish: Click "Create New Page" and then "Publish." You’ll see a structured template layout appear.
View Structure: The subpage will now display under "Training Programs" in the dropdown menu and site structure.
Repeat the Steps: Follow the same process for the "Online Training" subpage.
Name and Template: Use "Online Training" as the name and "Online Programs" as the template.
Publish: Once complete, click "Publish" to make it live.
To ensure your pages and subpages are easily accessible from your website’s main navigation:
Add the Parent Page:
Include "Training Programs" in your header menu.
Link the destination to the "Training Programs" parent page.
Set Up Subpages in the Header:
Add submenu items under "Training Programs" for "In-Person Training" and "Online Training."
Link each submenu item to its respective page.
Verify Menu Structure: Check the dropdown menu in the header to ensure the hierarchy is correct.
Publish Your Changes: Click "Publish" to save and implement the header menu updates.
You now have a well-structured "Training Programs" page with "In-Person Training" and "Online Training" subpages, accessible through an organized dropdown menu in the header. This setup enhances user navigation and showcases your offerings effectively.
