Answers to the most common questions about setting up CoachIQ, migrating from other platforms, and getting your coaching business online.

Setup & Onboarding

Most coaches are up and running within a week. Setup has two phases:
  1. Foundation (Days 1–2) — Complete your onboarding form, connect Stripe, upload photos, and create products
  2. Launch (Days 3–7) — Set up scheduling, configure your Athlete Portal, and review your website
You can start accepting bookings as soon as your scheduler and payments are live — you don’t need to finish everything first.First week setup checklist
The essentials:
  • A CoachIQ account (sign up at coachiq.io)
  • A Stripe account for payments (free to create)
  • Your business info (name, sport, services, pricing)
  • A few photos (logo, headshot, action shots)
That’s it. No special hardware, no technical skills required.
No. CoachIQ is built for coaches, not developers. Everything is point-and-click — creating schedulers, building products, setting up your website, and managing athletes. If you can use Instagram, you can use CoachIQ.
Yes. Every new CoachIQ coach gets:
  • A personalized onboarding form to capture your business details
  • A website built for you by the CoachIQ team
  • Access to weekly Office Hours for live help
  • Email support at info@coachiq.io
Book an Office Hours session anytime you need hands-on help.
Go to Schedule > Availability and create your available hours first. Then go to Schedule > Schedulers > Create to build a scheduler with your session duration, capacity, and payment settings. The whole process takes under 5 minutes.Create your first scheduler

Migration & Switching

Yes. Send your contact list (spreadsheet, CSV, or export from your current platform) to the CoachIQ team and we’ll import your athletes. Names, emails, phone numbers, and any other data you have can be brought over.Adding and editing clients
Share access to your current platform (Upper Hand, Acuity, Mindbody, EZFacility, etc.) and the CoachIQ team can migrate your client data, booking history, and other records. If you have an existing Stripe account, you can connect the same account to CoachIQ — no need to start fresh.Connect your existing Stripe account
Yes. If you already use Stripe with another platform, you can disconnect it there and connect the same Stripe account to CoachIQ. Your payment history, customer records, and payout settings carry over. No data is lost.Stripe connection guide
After launch, share your booking link and Athlete Portal with your athletes via:
  • Email or text message with your new booking link
  • Social media bio update
  • Updated email signature
  • QR code at your facility
Athletes create an account when they first book or purchase — no separate sign-up needed.Onboarding new athletes

Common Concerns

Yes. Reach out to the CoachIQ team for a walkthrough and demo. You can see the platform in action before making a decision.Book an Office Hours session
Both. Individual private coaches use CoachIQ to manage their own schedule, payments, and client relationships. Multi-coach facilities use it to manage multiple coaches, shared availability, and centralized payments — all from one dashboard.Managing multiple coaches
Everything is editable. You can change prices, update schedulers, reconfigure your Athlete Portal, and adjust settings anytime. Nothing is permanent. If you get stuck, jump on Office Hours and the team will help you fix it live.
No. Once you have Stripe connected, at least one product created, and a scheduler live, you can start accepting bookings. The website, Athlete Portal customization, and other setup steps improve the experience but aren’t required to get started.
