Connecting Your Domain to CoachIQ

Connecting your custom domain to CoachIQ is an essential step in creating a professional and branded experience for your coaching clients.

Step 1: Identify Your Domain Provider

To get started, you need to determine where your domain is currently hosted. Some of the most common domain providers include:

  • GoDaddy

  • Bluehost

  • Wix

  • Squarespace

  • Other providers

If you're unsure about your domain provider, check your email for a receipt or confirmation from when you purchased your domain. This information will help you locate the correct provider and access your domain settings.

Step 2: Add the Proper Records to your Domain Provider

Once you've identified your domain provider, follow the corresponding link below to access detailed, step-by-step instructions for connecting your domain to CoachIQ:

Step 2 - Click on Settings
  1. Navigate to your website builder's backend

  2. Click on "Settings"

  3. Click "Need a custom domain"

  4. Add your domain with or without "www." in front of it

  5. Click "Request custom domain"

  6. A pop-up will appear confirming the request

Add DNS Records to Connect the Domain

  1. Log in to your domain registrar

  2. Locate the DNS records or DNS settings section

  3. If your domain is currently connected to another website:

    • Remove the A record with the name "@"

    • Remove the CNAME record with the name "www"

  4. Add new DNS records:

    • A Record:

      • Type: A

      • Name: @ (or your domain name if "@" isn't allowed)

      • Value: 76.76.21.21

    • CNAME Record:

      • Type: CNAME

      • Name: www

      • Value: website-v1.coachiq.io

Step 3: Notify CoachIQ to Complete the Connection

After adding the DNS records, send the domain name you’ve connected to the CoachIQ support team or your account manager. They will:

  • Add the domain on their end in Vercel.

  • Update it in the website builder.

  • Accept the changes to complete the connection.
