Step-by-step guide to updating DNS records or sharing access to your Namecheap domain to connect it with CoachIQ.

Introduction

To connect your Namecheap domain to your CoachIQ website, you can either update the DNS records yourself or share access with our team to handle it for you. This guide explains both methods, so you can choose the approach that works best for you.

Steps to Update DNS Records

  1. Log in to Namecheap

  2. Access Your Domain’s DNS Settings

    • Navigate to Dashboard.

    • Select your domain and click Manage.

    • Go to the Advanced DNS tab.

  3. Add the Required DNS Records Add the following records under the Host Records section:

    • Type: A

      • Name: @

      • Value: 76.76.21.21

    • Type: CNAME

      • Name: WWW

      • Value: Website-v1.coachiq.io

    • Save changes once you've added both records.

  4. Wait for DNS Propagation

    • DNS changes may take up to 24-48 hours to fully propagate.

How to Share Access with CoachIQ

If you prefer us to update the DNS records for you, you can share access to your Namecheap account by following these steps:

  1. Log in to Your Namecheap Account

  2. Access Account Sharing Settings

    • Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner.

    • Select Manage Profile.

    • Go to the Account Sharing tab.

  3. Add CoachIQ as a Manager

    • Click Add Manager.

    • Enter liz@coachiq.io in the email field.

    • Set permissions for DNS management by selecting the appropriate options from the list.

  4. Save Changes

    • Confirm the permissions by clicking Save.

  5. Notify CoachIQ

    • Let us know at once you’ve shared access, so we can complete the setup.
